Why Guanajuato City is Perfect for Immersion
Lock in Your Immersion Experience: Deposit & Payment Plans
To secure your spot in our Spanish Immersion Retreat, we require a $475 deposit, which is fully refundable within 30 days of payment. This deposit forms a part of your total retreat cost. Once we reach the minimum number of participants, we’ll provide a link for you to pay the remaining balance, which varies depending on your chosen accommodations.
If you prefer to spread your retreat cost over a period, we offer a convenient six-month payment plan. After the initial $475 deposit, your remaining balance, determined by your chosen retreat city and accommodation, will be divided into six equal monthly installments.
If you’re attending with a spouse or significant other, simply adjust the quantity to “2” and select the private room option at checkout.

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Getting Settled
Welcome to Guanajuato! Unpack, unwind, and join us for a delightful welcome dinner at 6 p.m. at Casa Terraza. This evening is all about getting to know each other and discussing the exciting week ahead filled with learning and exploration.
Day 2: Guanajuato 101 Tour
After breakfast, we’ll dive into our daily lesson, followed by small group practice to ensure personalized attention. Enjoy lunch at a charming downtown restaurant and then take a casual sightseeing tour of Guanajuato’s historic center. The rest of the day is free for you to explore or relax.
Optional activity: Savor traditional Mexican drinks at a local bar.
Day 3: Food and History Tour
Start your day with an exciting Mexico Street Food and History Tour led by a local guide. After a refreshing siesta, we’ll continue with a group lesson and small group practice. The evening is free for you to explore on your own or relax.
Optional activity: Discover the flavors of Botanas Callejeras Nocturnas (Nighttime Street Snacks).
Day 4: Ex-Hacienda and Botanical Gardens
After breakfast, we’ll begin our group lesson followed by small group practice. We’ll then enjoy lunch at an authentic Mexican restaurant before visiting a stunning ex-hacienda. Explore the rich mining history of Guanajuato and stroll through its beautiful botanical gardens. The evening is yours to enjoy.
Optional activity: Enjoy a drink at a rooftop bar with panoramic views.
Day 5: Lessons and Cooking Class
After breakfast, we’ll have our daily lesson followed by small group practice. You’ll then have free time to explore the city or rest.
Optional activity: Visit the fascinating Mummy Museum.
We’ll meet for lunch downtown and conclude the day with an exciting cooking class led by a local Mexican chef.
Day 6: Day Trip to San Miguel de Allende
Embark on a day trip to the enchanting town of San Miguel de Allende. Enjoy breakfast and our daily lessons in a picturesque local plaza. The rest of the morning is yours to explore the town’s vibrant streets, artisan markets, and historic sites. We’ll meet for a delicious lunch downtown before returning to Guanajuato in the evening.
Day 7: Final Projects and Farewell Dinner
After breakfast, you’ll work on your final project followed by presentations. We’ll have lunch, and you’ll enjoy a few hours of free time.
Optional activity: Visit the Museo de la Alhóndiga de Granaditas.
We’ll take a serene stroll around the Presa de la Olla before concluding our retreat with a memorable farewell dinner.
Day 8: Departure
Enjoy a delicious breakfast early in the morning. Reflect on the week’s experiences as you pack your bags and say your goodbyes. Check out from the house is any time before noon. Transportation to the airport will be provided for all participants.
