057 – Una Vida Mejor por Menos | A Better Life for Less
Most of the time, we think of people moving to the US to see their “American Dream” fulfilled.
But more and more, people are leaving places like the US and Canada for countries with a lower cost of living. Did you know that 27% of people who leave the US, move to Mexico.
So the biggest piece of advice we can give you if you are seriously interested in living a better life (financially) or retiring somewhere that you will be more comfortable is “earn in dollars and save in pesos”.
Of course, living in places like the states provides a generally safe, comfortable life, but many people nowadays are struggling to get by, let alone save for retirement. So they are making the decision to pick up and move to make their desired lifestyle a reality instead of a faraway dream.
Jim provides several book and online resources in order to help you take the necessary steps, but what it comes down to is your willpower.
We figure that if you’re learning a new language then you probably have double the interest in a potential move. Check out the episode to hear all the details!
