Ultimate Travel Gear Guide for Video
When it comes to great content, it’s all about the story, not the gear. But if you’re into video gear and travel, it’s fun to peek behind the scenes and see what’s working for others.
I owned a commercial recording studio for eight years, so I know all about the joys of trying to keep up with the latest and greatest tools for the job.
While it can be fun to nerd-out over gear, it’s helpful to know what works well on the road. This is a list of what we use to make Spanish and Go happen.
Our Computers
All of our editing is done on our two laptops. We use Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, and Logic Pro X, for our audio and video software editing needs.

The Right Gear for The Job
My favorite pieces of gear are the DJI Mavic Pro, Panasonic GH5, iPhone 7+, and GoPro Hero 7 Black. These are the products that get us the majority of the shots you see in our episodes.
Out of all the gear we have, the two most underestimated pieces we have are the extension cable and surge protector. These two things keep us going while on the road when we have upwards of six things we need to charge at the end of a long day of recording.
